Genghis Cohen is a native of New Zealand and an accomplished Māori entrepreneur, his career spans more than three decades across a range of industries. His journey encompasses Hospitality, Tourism, Aviation, Resort Management and Development, Defense, and Strategic Consulting. Giving him a diverse level of experience and expertise.
Genghis's career commenced with a seven-year tenure as an officer in the Royal New Zealand Army. Subsequently, he embarked on an educational and professional expedition to the United Sates, where he pursued resort management and development studies at San Francisco University. During his time in the San Francisco Bay area, he concurrently honed his skills in the hospitality industry working in some of San Francisco’s most well-known food and beverage establishments.
After three years in San Francisco, Genghis returned to New Zealand with a vision, developing and managing the prestigious Tinopai Luxury Lodge in Tauranga, New Zealand, where he took on the role of General Manager and Helicopter Pilot. Just a year later, he set his sights back on the United States, founding Advanced Air Inc - a corporate aviation company specializing in private jet and helicopter charter services catering to the Silicon Valley elite. Simultaneously, he continued to make strides in the hospitality sector, consulting for multiple nightlife venues in the San Francisco Bay area.
In 2002, Genghis received an invitation from the MGM corporation to relocate to Las Vegas and contribute to the development and operation of nightlife and entertainment venues within their properties. Eager to accept the challenge, he made his move to Las Vegas and played a pivotal role in the success of several luxury nightlife/entertainment establishments for MGM Resorts. Notably, Tabu Ultra Lounge, under his stewardship, was consecutively voted the best nightlife venue in the world for three years and is the only nightlife venue to grace the cover of Time Magazine.
Continuing his entrepreneurial journey, Genghis ventured into the realm of restaurants and nightlife venues, carving a niche for himself, owning and operating his own venues in Las Vegas. In 2008, he ascended to the role of CEO for MCC Global's Hospitality Division, spearheading luxurious hospitality and entertainment developments on a global scale. His work brought him in close collaboration with prestigious brands such as Apple, Formula 1, McLaren, Buddha Bar and Aston Martin.
In 2011, Genghis decided to pivot towards consulting and nurturing his portfolio of businesses in the Luxury Travel and Attraction market. Presently, he is the proprietor
of his own luxury tourism attractions and enterprises, including Yacht Charters, Luxury Motorcycle Tours, Jet Boat Operations, and Unique Tourist Experiences.
Genghis’s academic journey started with undergraduate studies at Massey University in New Zealand, followed by graduate studies at San Fransisco State University. Furthermore, he was enrolled in an Executive Masters in Business Administration program at the University of Queensland, Australia.
A point of pride for Genghis is his role as a Veteran, and he serves as the President and Founder of the Veterans Training Fund (www.vtfund.org) a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans from all branches of the armed services.
In the world of business, Genghis has established a reputation of integrity, diversity and a think outside the box approach which has helped create internationally recognized brands and experiences. His career is a testament to his unwavering commitment to create and develop a legacy within the industries he has touched. His main goal now is to create and develop projects that promote a synergy resulting in fulfillment for his partners and investors while providing community conscious, sustainable, brands and opportunities that are generational for Māori and the community as a whole.

Jim LaChance is a seasoned leader and innovator with over 25 years of experience in private equity, portfolio management, investment management, and restructuring. He is recognized for his high integrity, decisive management style, and strategic vision, having co-managed and grown successful multibillion-dollar hedge funds and led public and private organizations to success.
Jim founded BreakPoint Asset Management, where he served as Founder and Chairman, overseeing a range of projects and companies in diverse sectors including energy, aviation, and finance. He has held leadership roles in companies such as Terran Orbital, Eletson Shipping, and Energy XXI, demonstrating his ability to drive strategic deals and manage operational challenges effectively.
Jim holds an MBA from New York University - Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Northeastern University. He is proficient in computer programming languages and has a background in martial arts, music, and science, reflecting his diverse interests and continuous personal growth.
